Suga’ in My Bowl is off the air this week: we’re back on July 26. Drummer Kim Thompson is at 55 Bar on July 22 with Mike Stern.
Pianist/keyboardist Marc Cary hosts the Harlem Sessions on July 23 and 30 at The Gin Fizz in Harlem.
Pianist Barry Harris is at Harlem’s Marcus Garvey Park for a free outdoor concert as part of the Jazzmobile series on July 24.
Saxophonist Gary Bartz is at Smoke on July 24-26 with Heads of State.
Low brass specialist on tuba and trombone Joe Daley is be at the Beacon Jazz Festival on July 25 with the International Brass and Membrane Corps.
Blues vocalist Alexis P. Suter has a free outdoor show in Wagner Park near the Battery in Manhattan on July 30.
